Nazar Afghan
Head of Publications & Cultural Affairs

Nazar Afghan is a resident of Mehtarlam city in Laghman province, son of Gul Mohammad. Due to the dark clouds of the night, his family was a refugee in Pakistan, but God opened his eyes. He learned the alphabet from his father at home and when he was a little bit deaf, he entered a school where the language was foreign. He studied until the tenth grade in Haripur, which is located in the North-West Frontier Province (NWFP). When God brought a little light to his homeland, he returned to his ancestral village. He studied until the twelfth grade at Roshan High School there and after that, he began to cultivate his taste and knowledge at the Faculty of Literature of Nangarhar University through the Kankor. Perhaps his eyes were still not fully opened to the cup of knowledge, so he once again succeeded in the master's program in Pashto literature at Kabul University through the entrance exam and graduated two years later.

During his university years, he worked as a reporter and presenter with local media, served as the editor-in-chief and managing editor of a number of print media outlets, and gained his first experience in government work with the Laghman Department of Information and Culture. He also held several important positions there. In 1400 AH, he began collaborating with the National University in Kabul, where he quickly gained the trust of the administration as the head of publications and cultural affairs.

Nazar is an Afghan writer, translator, and has mastered the art of graphic design and video editing. He has translated a book from Urdu called Aql-e-Kal and published it, and two other written works are awaiting publication. Many of his writings and translations have been published on websites and print media, and God willing, he will soon demonstrate many more achievements.
