About
Introduction
In the contemporary world, Law and Political Science are not
merely academic disciplines; they are essential instruments for ensuring
justice, strengthening the rule of law, and promoting sustainable societal
development. As one of the country's leading academic institutions, the Faculty
of Law and Political Science plays a vital role in educating legal professionals,
political analysts, and future policymakers. This academic institution is
committed to advancing justice and good governance through quality education,
scientific research, and active engagement in social processes.
Given the rapid developments in legal, political, and
international arenas, the formulation of a comprehensive five-year strategic
plan is essential. This plan has been developed based on a thorough analysis of
the current situation, identification of opportunities and challenges, and
assessment of educational and research needs. Its primary objective is to
establish an effective framework for enhancing academic standards,
strengthening teaching and research capacities, and improving educational
programs in accordance with national and international standards.
To achieve these objectives, special emphasis has been
placed on improving teaching methodologies, reviewing and updating curricula in
line with contemporary needs, strengthening students' practical skills, and
integrating modern technologies into education and research. Furthermore,
expanding scientific research in various fields of law and political science,
establishing well-equipped research centers, organizing academic conferences
and seminars, and promoting the publication of scholarly articles are among the
key priorities of this plan.
The plan also emphasizes the enhancement of educational
infrastructure and the creation of practical learning opportunities for
students, enabling them to apply their theoretical knowledge in real-world
environments. Additionally, establishing effective partnerships between
academic institutions and government agencies, international organizations,
civil society institutions, and research centers will provide students with
valuable practical experience and opportunities to contribute actively to
addressing the country's legal and political challenges.
Finally, this strategic plan is founded upon the principles
of transparency, accountability, and sustainability and requires the broad
cooperation and participation of faculty members, students, and relevant
stakeholders. It is hoped that through its successful implementation, the
Faculty of Law and Political Science will further strengthen educational
quality, advance scientific research, reinforce the rule of law, and make
valuable contributions toward achieving justice and social welfare.
Brief History of the Faculty
Mili University was established under Official License No.
387, dated September 12, 2012 (21 Sunbula 1391), as a private higher education
institution and commenced its activities in three academic fields.
The Faculty of Law and Political Science has been an
integral part of the institution since its establishment, providing academic
services through two departments. In addition to fulfilling its responsibility
of educating specialized human resources for serving the nation and society,
the faculty has created a suitable academic environment for the growth,
empowerment, and development of future generations. It has continuously carried
out its academic, national, and Islamic mission in this regard.
The education of capable, talented, committed, and
professional students remains among the faculty's highest priorities. To date,
the Department of Judiciary and Prosecution has graduated fifteen cohorts,
while the Department of Administration and Diplomacy has graduated seven
cohorts of both male and female students who now contribute to Afghan society.
In 2024 (1403 Solar Hijri), the Department of Administration
and Diplomacy was renamed the Department of International Relations, and the
Department of Judiciary and Prosecution was renamed the Department of Law.
These changes were introduced to strengthen the academic structure and align
the curriculum with contemporary educational needs.
Current Status, Activities, and Facilities of the Faculty
Any educational institution seeking to formulate development
programs must first conduct a comprehensive assessment of its existing system
and organizational structure. Such an assessment provides the foundation for
determining future directions and developing an effective roadmap. Accordingly,
a brief overview of the current status of the Faculty of Law and Political
Science is presented below.
The Faculty of Law and Political Science of Mili University operates
under the leadership of a dean and functions in accordance with the Higher
Education Law, as well as the regulations, bylaws, and procedures issued by the
Ministry of Higher Education.
At present, the faculty consists of two graduate-producing departments and one non-graduate-producing department, all working toward the achievement of its academic and educational objectives.
