The regional climate change conference concluded successfully on the last day.
Nangarhar University, hosting this scientific conference, gathered researchers from various countries and fields. The conference was inaugurated by the Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs, Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, and the Acting Minister of Higher Education, Sheikh Nadim Muhammad Nadim, along with officials from several ministries and their respective departments, to discuss and share updates on their activities and initiatives related to the subject. Additionally, input and proposals were solicited from a number of specialists. Dr. Khalil Ahmad Basudwal, the president of Nangarhar University, expressed gratitude for the active participation and collaboration of colleagues and institutions in the conference's deliberations. He also acknowledged the contributions of national and international organizations to the success of the conference and its practical outcomes. During the conference, concerns were raised about the inadequate attention given to the products of local industries in Nangarhar University. It was agreed that the conference would continue for two more days, with the second day focusing on scientific and academic papers and the third day featuring presentations and discussions on various projects and initiatives. It should be noted that the Mili institute of higher education supported, Nangarhar University in promoting this conference through various promotional, media, cultural, and other material means to support the research efforts, underscoring the practical aspect of their collaboration with the university.
