Faculty of Dentistry arranged Orthognathic Surgical Course
Faculty of Dentistry of Mili Institute of Higher Education arranged a 6-days course of orthognathic surgery. Dr. Abdul-Wahab Salehi, the former dean of the faculty of Dentistry and experienced orthognathic surgeon led the six-days instructive course. Dr. Salehi covered different aspects of Jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery) including an overview of jaw surgery, different types of jaw problems caused by injuries or medical conditions, procedures of the surgery, and different types of orthognathic surgery like Maxillary osteotomy, Mandibular osteotomy, and Double jaw surgery. The academic vice-chancellor and the dean of the faculty of Dentistry promised that they would try their best to arrange other courses. They emphasized that Mili Institute is committed to such academic and constructive programs. The orthognathic surgery is widely famous and important surgical process that aims to aesthetic facial skeletal appearance, remove functional deformities, and improve the jaw function of human beings. At the end of the course, certificates of completion were distributed among the participants of the 6-days program. It’s important to note that students from many institutions in Kabul participated in this course.
